Volunteering (Key Club members only): the Chair of Blood Drives will post sign-ups on the Facebook page in the weeks leading up to the drive. There are opportunities to be on the promotion team that visits classrooms during the school day, to manage the sign-up tables at lunch, and to staff the blood drive, performing tasks such as receiving donors, distributing food, and allocating donors to the buses. The blood drive necessitates a maximum of three volunteers per period. If you have any questions, contact our Blood Drive committee chair, Anna Hewett. Blood drive dates will be put on our Google Calendar. EligibilityTo accept and promote the following ideals:

On donation day, make sure to bring an ID card (Student ID, driver license, or equivalent) and your appointment card! You may still be turned away on the day of the blood drive for health-related reasons. A common reason for rejection is having a low iron level in your blood. In the days leading up to your donation, eating iron-rich foods can help ensure your donation proceeds successfully. For additional information on eligibility, visit https://www.oneblood.org/give-blood/basics.html. After donating, it is recommended that you drink water and avoid rigorous exercise. |

GoldfeverAboutGoldfever is a lip-syncing and dance competition between the clubs of St. Pete High. It's a SPHS tradition, and it's one that Key participates in each year. It's a great way to get to know more members in the club and to just have fun! Any Key Club member is welcomed to join Key Club's Goldfever. Practices usually start around middle to end of first semester, and the Goldfever show is usually at the beginning of the second semester. You can see Goldfever practice times and days on our Goldfever Google Calendar (which will be created when practice starts). An archive of past Goldfever dances can be found below! |

Rushing // InterviewsAboutEvery year, St. Petersburg High students get the opportunity to rush for a service club. Rushing is when all the service clubs can promote their clubs by "rushing" the courtyards and handing out their letters. For us, that means you can receive a cute paper K! Each year, any student can apply for Key Club! It is a wonderful club that gives students the opportunity to meet different people and help the people around us. To sign up to be a member of Key Club, there will be applications available for students mid August. Then, the clubs hold "interviews". Interviews are usually held in early September, and they will most likely take place after school in Mr. Benton's room (01-223). Check out some of our best rushing and interview moments over the years below! |

TappingAboutTapping is one of the greatest traditions only offered at SPHS. Students who have interviewed and finally accepted into the greatest club ever get "tapped" into the club. "Bigs" (members) give baskets filled with goodies and a large K cutout for their "littles" (new members) to wear around their necks and represent the club with pride. |
